General George S. Patton spent his final days at this hospital, where he passed away on December 21, 1945.
The complex now stands as a conversion area managed by the Federal Agency for Real Estate Affairs, with plans for civilian development.
The medical facility operated as headquarters for the Seventh Medical Command, coordinating 264 medical units from Norway to the Mediterranean Sea.
