Hagberg

Hagberg is a mountain summit in Baden-Württemberg's Welzheim Forest that rises to 585 meters and offers views across forested valleys and ridges. The landscape surrounding the peak is shaped by dense woodlands interrupted by open meadows.

Hagberg sits in a region with medieval trade routes that shaped economic activity for generations. The old connections between villages and market towns are still visible today in the mountain's position within the landscape.

The summit is reachable on foot via several marked trails, with the main route starting from Gschwend and taking about 2 hours to walk. Trail conditions vary by season, and sturdy footwear is strongly recommended.

The mountain creates different habitats along its elevation gradient where specialized plant species grow that are rarely found elsewhere. This variety develops from small climate shifts that occur with each meter of height gained.
