St. Mauritius, New Gothic church in Schwanheim, Germany.
St. Mauritius stands with a 75-meter tower, featuring a main nave of 16 meters wide and a transept extending to 25 meters width.
The construction of the current church building took place between 1899 and 1901, replacing earlier religious structures dating back to 880 AD.
The wooden high altar, completed in 1906 by Franz Gastell, displays traditional Catholic design elements resembling a monstrance structure.
The church interior accommodates 880 seated and 1500 standing visitors, with six bells ringing for services and celebrations throughout the week.
Archaeological excavations in 2001 revealed stone artifacts including a crucified Christ figure, now displayed within the church since 2008.
