Nettebad, Swimming center in Osnabrück, Germany
Nettebad is a swimming center in Osnabrück with a 50-meter sports pool, an outdoor area, and several zones dedicated to different water activities. The facility also has a wellness area and a water slide section with multiple runs.
Nettebad opened as a local swimming facility and grew over time into one of the largest leisure pools in the region. The addition of a large water park with long slides turned it into a well-known destination in northwestern Germany.
Nettebad is home to Klein Finnland, a textile sauna village where visitors wear swimwear and follow Finnish sauna customs. The different sauna cabins and rest areas offer a way to unwind that feels quite different from a standard swimming pool visit.
A visit works best when you allow enough time, as the facility has many different sections to explore. Some courses and attractions can be booked in advance through a customer account, which helps avoid waiting on the day.
The center has a Ninjacross obstacle course set above a pool, where visitors attempt to cross without falling into the water. There is also a slide designed to be ridden while standing, something found in very few pools in Germany.
