Villa Rothschild

Villa Rothschild is a three-story residential building in the modern style with high-ceilinged rooms and ornate plaster decorations located at Hachelallee 88 in Pforzheim. The structure features an open staircase, decorative ceiling work, and a gable roof with cross framing, and currently serves as both office and private residence.

The house was built in 1924 by architect A. Reinheimer from Mainz for Emil Rothschild, a Jewish jeweler. Rothschild left Germany in 1939 and emigrated to Brazil as political conditions worsened during World War II.

The villa reflects the tastes of wealthy jewelry manufacturers who shaped Pforzheim in the 1920s and displayed their success through refined architecture. Its design speaks to a time when the city was a major center for jewelry production.

The house sits on a corner in a quiet residential area and borders the industrial zone nearby. Keep in mind it is a private home with current occupants, so viewing is only possible from the street.
