Barbysches Gutshaus, Manor house in Loburg, Germany.
Barbysches Gutshaus is a two-story manor house in Loburg featuring seven window axes across its facade and a mansard roof. A sandstone portal from 1675 on the courtyard side demonstrates the craftsmanship of that era.
The house was built as part of a knight's estate established in the 14th century. The von Barby family lived here until their expulsion following World War II.
The interior contains decorative elements from different periods, including a Rococo stucco ceiling on the ground floor and an early Baroque wooden coffered ceiling upstairs.
The manor house is located near the marketplace and is accessible to visitors today. It houses a cafe, a manor kitchen, and a shop selling regional products from the area.
A coat of arms carved in stone above the gateway dates to 1664 and marks an important marriage alliance of the von Barby family. Today walnut trees surround the property, echoing its agricultural past.
