The Zweibrücken Observatory contains a 14-inch Celestron reflector telescope and a Coronado SolarMax solar telescope for astronomical observations at 321 meters elevation.
The scientific association established in 1999 initiated the construction of the observatory, leading to the installation of a 4.57-meter diameter dome in 2002.
The observatory organizes regular public lectures and stargazing events, connecting the local community with astronomical sciences and celestial observations.
