Wild- und Freizeitpark Willingen is a wildlife park that houses deer, bears, wildcats, and Barbary macaques along with many other animal species. The facility spreads across a large forested area with pathways designed for visitors to observe the animals in their enclosures.

A turning point came with the launch of a dedicated brown bear protection program in 2018, marked by the arrival of the resident bear Balu.

The daily animal presentations feature birds of prey, owls, and parrots, allowing visitors to watch handlers demonstrate behaviors and skills. These shows create moments where you can observe how these birds interact with their trainers and surroundings.

The park is explored on foot using pathways that accommodate different fitness levels and visitor interests. Comfortable footwear is recommended, and visitors should expect varying ground conditions depending on the season.

Within the dense spruce forest of Ettelsberg, life-sized dinosaur models stand among the trees, offering visitors a surprising encounter with prehistoric creatures.
