The Wild- und Freizeitpark Willingen spans 200,000 square meters, hosting 380 animals from 80 species including deer, bears, wildcats, and Barbary macaques.
The park established a dedicated conservation program for European brown bears in 2018 with the arrival of their resident bear, Balu.
The park features five daily animal presentations where visitors learn about birds of prey, owls, and parrots through educational demonstrations.
The park operates year-round with summer hours from 9:00 to 18:00 between April and October, and winter hours from 10:00 to 16:00 between November and March.
Within the dark spruce forest of Ettelsberg, life-sized dinosaur models stand among the trees, providing visitors with an understanding of prehistoric creatures.
