Solingen-Engelsberger Hof is a locality in the western section of the Ohligs district, located on elevated ground overlooking the surroundings. The area is surrounded by dense forest and sits near the road connecting Ohligs and Hilden.
The locality developed in the early 1800s when the Engelsberg family built their residence on this land. The land had previously been unused and was part of the Schloss Hackhausen estate holdings.
The area takes its name from the Engelsberg family who made their mark here. Today visitors can experience the grounds and green spaces that reflect how people in this region have lived and built their homes.
The grounds feature a large playground with equipment and grilling areas for visitors to use. A restored historic steam locomotive is also on display for visitors to see.
