The Seifersdorfer Mill sits along the Rote Weißeritz river, featuring a large milling structure with three operational units for grain grinding and wood cutting.
The mill, first documented in 1501, operated continuously until 1996, with multiple families managing it, including the Pfundt family who owned it until 1886.
The mill complex represents traditional Saxon industrial heritage, demonstrating the evolution of milling technology from simple grain processing to expanded manufacturing operations.
The residential building remains privately owned, while the former industrial sections underwent dismantling after the closure of Dresdner Polstermöbel GmbH in 1996.
The mill expanded to include a wooden box factory in 1896, which operated alongside the grain milling facilities until financial difficulties in the late 1920s.
