St. Martin, Roman Catholic church building in Dittelstedt, Germany
The church features four rounded arch windows on each side of the nave and an octagonal tower topped with a pointed spire covered in slate.
Built in 1682 to replace a previous structure dismantled by Swedish troops in 1647, the church received its tower from the Corpus Christi Chapel as a gift from Napoleon in 1812.
The interior contains a baroque altar and Stations of the Cross originating from the Corpus Christi Chapel, along with a small relief depicting Mary and John from 1600.
The church functions as a subsidiary of St. Nicholas Parish in Erfurt-Melchendorf and maintains regular religious services for the Catholic community of Dittelstedt.
The historical Böttcher organ from 1884 replaced an earlier instrument damaged during wartime and currently undergoes restoration work to preserve its musical heritage.
