Tsanakleios school

The Tsanakleios school is a protected building in central Komotini featuring a peach-colored facade with green sash windows. The structure stands among other historical buildings that define the character of the city center.

The building was erected in 1906 with funding from tobacco merchant Nestoras Tsanakleios as an all-boys school. After this initial use, the structure shifted to serve as the Old University Rectorate.
