Saint Therapon

Saint Therapon is an Eastern Orthodox church in Mytilene's port area featuring a large central dome that rises above surrounding structures. The building combines Greek and Western European style elements with decorative details on its exterior.

Construction began in the early 19th century on the site of a former chapel and was completed in 1935 by architect Argyris Adalis. The lengthy building process reflects how the religious importance of this location developed over multiple generations.
