Drymona waterfalls, Natural waterfall in Mantoudi-Limni-Agia Anna Municipality, Greece.
Drymona waterfalls is a natural water feature in the Mantoudi-Limni-Agia Anna Municipality where water from the Sepia River drops about 15 meters into a basin surrounded by thick forest. The system consists of multiple pools at roughly 620 meters elevation, framed by steep rock walls and dense mixed vegetation.
The waterfall sits in an area with traces of ancient human settlement showing that people lived in this region since antiquity. These archaeological remains point to a long history of habitation across northern Evia.
The name comes from local mythology and residents regard this site as a natural sanctuary where visitors naturally gather to experience the water and surrounding landscape.
Wooden bridges and marked paths connect the parking area to the waterfall through a comfortable walk of about 1.5 kilometers. The trail is well-maintained, but wear shoes with good grip because the area around the pools can be wet and slippery.
The area hosts an unusual mix of forest types including rare black pines growing together with firs and deciduous trees that normally do not share the same space. This botanical combination makes the surroundings ecologically interesting and creates a landscape mosaic you rarely see elsewhere in the region.
