Vallon-Pont-d'Arc, Administrative commune in southern Ardèche, France.
The village stands at the entrance of the Ardèche Gorges, where a natural limestone arch spans 54 meters above the flowing river.
The area contains the Chauvet Cave, discovered in 1994, which holds more than 1,000 prehistoric paintings dating back approximately 36,000 years.
The town hall, housed in a 17th-century château, displays a collection of 18th-century Aubusson tapestries available for viewing through guided tours.
Visitors can access two weekly markets: a night market every Tuesday during summer and a traditional morning market each Thursday throughout the year.
The Chauvet Cave 2, an exact replica of the original cave, allows visitors to experience prehistoric art through advanced technological reproductions.
