Île Saint-Honorat

Île Saint-Honorat is a roughly 40-hectare island off the coast of Cannes that features a medieval monastery and extensive vineyards throughout its landscape. The terrain combines stone buildings, pine forests, and walking paths that follow the Mediterranean shoreline.

The island was founded in the early 5th century when Saint Honoratus established a religious community here. Over centuries, the site evolved into an important monastic center that later received fortifications in response to pirate attacks from the sea.
