A memorial at the garden entrance documents discriminatory ordinances from 1941 to 1944, when Jewish citizens were prohibited from accessing public parks.
The garden includes sports facilities for basketball and handball, along with children's playgrounds and areas designated for outdoor recreational activities.
In 2022, the park received the additional name Mahsa Jîna Amini to honor the Iranian student who died fighting for women's rights.
