Colomby de Gex, Mountain summit in Ain, France
Located in the Jura Mountains at 1689 meters elevation, Colomby de Gex features a metal pylon measuring 10 meters high and 2 meters wide.
The metal pylon structure on Colomby de Gex was constructed in Paris during 1907 through the initiative of the Mutual Association of Ain Children.
The monument at the summit represents solidarity within the community, marked by a commemorative medal created for its 1907 inauguration ceremony.
The hiking trail stretches 13.2 kilometers from La Faucille to the summit with a 613-meter elevation gain, marked by yellow PR signs.
A memorial stone near the pylon commemorates Swiss aviator Fernand Fluckiger, who perished in the region on June 2, 1932.
