Montoisey

Montoisey is a limestone summit in the Jura range that rises to approximately 1670 meters, with pale stone formations shaping the landscape. Several hiking paths cross the area, and access is also possible via the lift from Lelex.

The mountain became part of the Haut-Jura Regional Natural Park, created to preserve the geological character and natural environment of this Alpine region. This designation continues to shape how the area is managed and used today.

Mountain bikers and hikers converge on the trails here throughout the year, finding routes suited to different skill levels across the limestone terrain. The paths serve as meeting points where visitors of all abilities can experience the mountain environment.

Access is flexible with a lift available from Lelex or multiple hiking paths of varying difficulty. The best conditions for walking are during warmer months when snow and ice are not present.

The Belvédère du Pailly viewpoint offers distant views of Lake Geneva and the surrounding Alps on clear days. This spot receives fewer visitors than the main summit, making it a quieter place to take in the views.
