Petit appartement du roi

The Petit Appartement du Roi is a royal private residence within the Palace of Versailles, occupying multiple rooms on the first floor with architectural features from the Louis XIII period. These chambers contain royal furnishings, paintings, and decorative objects reflecting the personal collections of different monarchs.

Louis XIV established these quarters in 1682 to display his valuable collections for the royal household. About a century later, Louis XV transformed them into personal living spaces for his daily use.
