Château de Bocaud, Medieval castle in Jacou, France
The Château de Bocaud features 17th-century architecture with wooden panels and a reception room decorated with intricate plasterwork from 1760.
Magistrate Pierre de Bocaud initiated the construction of this castle in 1618, with subsequent modifications continuing through the eighteenth century.
The interior decoration displays Napoleonic influences through ornamental elements created between 1873 and 1878 throughout multiple rooms of the structure.
The municipal library now operates within the castle walls, allowing visitors to explore the historical rooms during regular opening hours.
The grotto-nymphaeum of the estate contains shell and rock decorations from the 17th century, maintained in their original condition.
