Château Volterra

Château Volterra is a Renaissance-style winery located in Ramatuelle on a plateau overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The estate spreads across vineyards with mineral-rich soil where Grenache, Syrah, and Chardonnay grapes are cultivated.

The estate was built between 1896 and 1908 using stone transported by boat from quarry sites. This construction period established the structure that still stands today.

The estate takes its name from the Tuscan town of Volterra, reflecting the Renaissance design that defines the property. Visitors can observe the refined architecture and traditional winemaking practices that demonstrate the site's heritage today.

The wine cellar was renovated in 2000 and uses gravity-flow production methods. Visitors should expect varied terrain and typical Mediterranean conditions when exploring the grounds.

The estate carries out winemaking under moonlight, preserving traditional methods while producing its distinctive Côtes de Provence wines. This rare practice combines old craft techniques with contemporary vineyard work.
