Morne du Vitet

Morne de Vitet rises 286 meters above sea level, forming the highest elevation point on the island of Saint Barthélemy in the Lesser Antilles.

Local residents maintain a tradition of gathering at the summit during clear mornings to observe the first light spreading across the Caribbean Sea.

Multiple hiking trails lead to the summit, with the eastern path providing the most gradual ascent through 2.5 kilometers of marked routes.

The southern slope of the mountain drops 286 meters to sea level within 400 meters, creating one of the steepest coastal gradients in the Lesser Antilles.
