Halle Secrétan

Halle Secrétan is a market hall in the 19th arrondissement built with a metal frame and glass facade facing Avenue Secrétan, with connections to the surrounding streets. The structure contains multiple spaces inside for different activities and functions.

Victor Baltard designed this market hall, which opened in 1868 and became an important landmark in the neighborhood. The building received historic monument protection status, securing its preservation for future generations.

The hall serves as a meeting place where locals from the neighborhood gather for shopping and community activities. It shapes daily life in the district by hosting regular markets and bringing residents together.

A 2015 renovation added underground sports facilities and a mezzanine level housing a municipal playroom. This transformation converted the historic market hall into a modern multi-purpose space serving the community.
