Jardin pour la Paix, Contemporary garden at the foot of Citadel, Bitche, France
The garden extends over five hundred meters, featuring a sequence of open and confined natural spaces organized around a panoramic walkway path.
Created in 2003 on former military grounds, this garden transformed a space of conflict into an area dedicated to peace and natural beauty.
The garden integrates twelve distinct artist-designed spaces that incorporate elements such as glass, crystal, hardy plants, wrought iron, and ornamental grasses.
The garden opens daily from the last Sunday of April until the first Sunday of October, with guided tours available on the first Sunday of each month.
The Accueillet welcome area provides a cafe with handmade ice cream, a tea room, and a shaded terrace near the gardeners' shop.
