Quai Victor-Augagneur

The quai extends between Pont Lafayette and Pont de la Guillotière bridges, offering two levels with a lower deck redesigned for pedestrians and cyclists.

The quay received its name in 1932 to honor Jean-Victor Augagneur, who served as mayor of Lyon from 1900 to 1905 and later became a minister.

The Grand Temple of Lyon, completed in 1884 and designed by architect Gaspard André, stands at number 3 of the quai.

Multiple commercial barges anchored along the quay function as restaurants and bars, providing dining options with views of the Rhône River.

The historic Café du Rhône at number 23 maintains its status as a protected monument, preserving the architectural heritage of the riverfront.
