Church Saint-Denis of Montpellier, Historical church in Gambetta district, Montpellier, France.
The church building displays Jesuit architectural style from the 18th century with a stone facade characteristic of its 1702 construction period.
The current structure replaced an original church built between the 12th and 16th centuries, which was destroyed during the religious wars and rebuilt in 1699.
The church contains artworks from the 18th and 19th centuries, including paintings, statues, and a Cavaillé-Coll organ installed in 1837.
The parish organizes regular religious services and belongs to the Cathedral Parish of Montpellier since 2014, uniting downtown churches.
The Cavaillé-Coll organ initially featured 29 stops across three keyboards and underwent multiple restorations since 1846.
