The building stands at Place de l'Église in Jouy-le-Moutier, near the roads connecting the towns of Cergy and Pontoise in Val-d'Oise.
Excavations in 1993-1994 revealed a funeral stele and foundations of an 11th-century Romanesque building beneath the current church.
