Puig dels Pruners is a mountain summit straddling the border between Spain and France at roughly 832 meters elevation. The peak displays tonalite rock throughout its structure and sits within the Pyrenees range at the point where the two nations meet.
The mountain has served as the natural boundary between Spain and France since 1659, when the Treaty of the Pyrenees established it as the official border line. This agreement transformed the peak into a key geographical reference point between the two nations.
The summit sits on the border between two nations, attracting hikers from both sides who share trails and occasionally cross the frontier during their climbs. Mountain climbing here is deeply rooted in local tradition, with community groups regularly gathering to explore the peaks together.
