Le Poète

Le Poète is a bronze sculpture in the Jardin du Luxembourg depicting a human figure rendered in abstract forms. The work dates from an original design created in 1954 and was later placed within the garden.

The artwork emerged from a design by sculptor Ossip Zadkine conceived in 1954. It was placed later within the gardens and now stands among many other sculptures in the collection.
