Hôtel de ville de Perpignan

The town hall combines architectural elements from the 14th and 17th centuries with a central courtyard framed by light arcades. Marble stairs and galleries housing administrative offices line the interior space.

The structure began in the late 1200s when Perpignan's consuls needed a meeting place for local leadership. Renovations across subsequent centuries shaped its current appearance.

The wedding hall displays a Spanish-Moorish ceiling from the early 1500s alongside 19th-century neoclassical details. These design layers show how the building absorbed different artistic styles across centuries.

The building sits at Place de la Loge in the city center and is easy to reach on foot. Certain areas welcome visitors while other sections function as working administrative offices.

A fountain featuring a sculpture by Aristide Maillol sits in the interior courtyard, hidden within the building's administrative spaces. Few visitors notice this artistic detail tucked away from the main view.
