Mont Aigu

Mont Aigu is a rocky summit in the Fontainebleau forest with limestone outcrops scattered across its surface. The stone formations offer climbing opportunities of all difficulty levels, from simple to demanding.

The site became known as a climbing destination in the 1800s when mountaineers started exploring its rock formations. Routes developed over time, turning it into an established climbing area that continues to grow.

The climbing routes often bear natural chalk marks left by previous climbers, creating temporary patterns that serve as guides. These marks help newcomers find their way and show just how many people have passed through this spot.
