Pointe de Cricche

Pointe de Cricche is a mountain summit reaching 2057 meters (6747 feet) situated between the villages of Albertacce and Évisa in Corsica. From the top you can see across to the surrounding peaks and down into the valleys below.

This area has long been central to sheep herding in Corsica's mountainous terrain. Shepherds have traversed these slopes for generations, establishing the pastoral practices that shaped the landscape.

Shepherds from nearby villages have grazed their flocks on the highlands around this summit for generations. You can still spot traditional stone shelters scattered across the slopes, reminding visitors of this way of life.

The climb requires proper hiking equipment and is most accessible from May through October. Plan for a full day of hiking and bring weather-resistant clothing, as mountain conditions can change rapidly.

The summit sits at the intersection of the Niolu and Évisa valleys, serving as a natural landmark for hikers exploring the region. This location makes it a key reference point where several trekking routes converge.
