Plage de Kermabec

Kermabec is a sandy beach in Tréogat positioned between two ponds, where pebble ridges emerge as tides rise and fall. The shore stretches across a natural curve of light-colored sand backed by dune vegetation.

This stretch of coast in the Bay of Audierne has supported maritime activity for centuries, with fishing communities building their lives here over generations. The shoreline itself has remained largely unchanged despite the human activity along its edges.

The shore is a working place where local fishermen practice their craft in traditional ways that have roots in the community. Surfers are drawn here regularly because the water offers reliable waves throughout the year.

The beach has parking, showers, and restroom facilities available for visitors spending time by the sea. Basic amenities are in place, though services may be limited outside the summer season when lifeguards are present.

The wetland area next to the beach serves as a habitat where you can spot ducks and herons in their natural surroundings. The birdlife becomes especially visible during migration seasons when many species pass through the region.
