Tête de la Charme

The Tête de la Charme is a mountain summit in the French Alps rising to nearly 1,900 meters with several hiking trails crossing its slopes. These routes wind through different elevations and open onto views of surrounding valleys and peaks.

The first hiking paths here were developed in the late 1800s as the region began attracting visitors seeking mountain experiences. These early routes shaped how people have explored this landscape ever since.

The trails here form an important part of local walking routes and pass through typical Alpine landscapes with native plants and rock formations that define the mountain terrain. These paths matter to locals and visitors as they provide direct contact with the natural surroundings.

A popular circuit takes about two to three hours and requires good walking shoes and weather protection, as conditions at higher elevation can change quickly. The best time to hike is from May through October, when routes are normally snow-free and passable.

This mountain sits directly along the Mont Blanc Tramway route, letting hikers take the historic train from Saint-Gervais-les-Bains to reach the starting point easily. This connection makes the hike accessible to people of varying fitness levels.
