Butte de Tiot, Prehistoric burial mound in Campénéac, France

The Butte de Tiot, reaching 190 meters in elevation, contains two burial mounds, one of which preserves a central megalithic chamber made of schist slabs.

Research conducted in the 1980s by archaeologist Jacques Briard determined that humans cleared and occupied the site during the Bronze Age.

The site demonstrates the evolution of burial practices in Armorica, marking a shift toward individual interments during the Bronze Age period.

The location stands 530 meters north of Lidrio hamlet and 660 meters south of the tumulus known as the Giant's Tomb.

Pollen analysis reveals vegetation consisting of 38% trees, mainly hazel trees, and 30% herbaceous plants dominated by grasses.
