Parvis Alan-Turing, Public square in 13th arrondissement, Paris, France
Parvis Alan-Turing is a public square in the 13th arrondissement of Paris that stretches between rue Eugene-Freyssinet and rue Ada-Lovelace. The space combines paved areas and green zones, forming the entrance plaza to Station F.
The square emerged from the transformation of the former Freyssinet industrial hall into a modern public space. It received its current name in 2017, after being designated by a temporary route number.
The square is named after Alan Turing, the pioneering computer scientist and mathematician. This naming reflects the location's identity as a hub for technological innovation and digital advancement.
The square is accessible via two Metro lines: line 6 at Chevaleret station and line 14 at Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand station. Both stations are within walking distance and connect you to central Paris with ease.
The square features the monumental sculpture L'Arc by artist Urs Fischer, installed in 2022 and shaping the area's artistic character. This artwork often goes unnoticed by visitors focused on Station F, yet it anchors the space with a striking visual presence.
