Ksani Fortress, Medieval fortress in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Georgia.

The fortress stands on Mount Sarkineti at 600 meters altitude, overlooking the junction of Ksani and Mtkvari rivers in eastern Georgia.

Prince Bagrat I of Mukhrani constructed the fortress in 1512 during conflicts between King David X of Kartli and King George II of Kakheti.

The structure contains a wine cellar equipped with fifteen qvevris, demonstrating the integration of wine production in Georgian defensive architecture.

The fortress includes multiple towers, water reservoirs, and storage rooms that enabled extended periods of resistance during military sieges.

The original aqueduct system extended several kilometers along the mountain ridge to supply water to the fortress complex.
