Joensuu Church

The church combines Art Nouveau, Renaissance Revival, and Gothic Revival styles, featuring a high bell tower in the northeast corner and a lower southwest tower.

Finnish architect Josef Stenbäck designed this structural masterwork in 1900, incorporating elements from multiple European architectural traditions into the building plan.

The altar displays The Crucifixion of Jesus painting created by Ilmari Launis in 1910, while the organ from 1969 contains thirty-six musical stops.

The church accommodates 1560 people for religious services and includes facilities for individuals who require wheelchair access throughout the building.

At an elevation of 84 meters, the church contains two distinct towers: one houses bells while the other incorporates the organ machinery.
