Klenovica

Klenovica is a small coastal settlement with whitewashed stone buildings arranged along pebble beaches and rocky coves. A waterside promenade connects the village to neighboring communities, offering views across the Adriatic towards forested hillsides.

The settlement was a center of monastic life in the Middle Ages, with a Paulist monastery established near the location, leaving architectural traces near the local cemetery. This religious foundation influenced the community's development across centuries.

Local residents maintain maritime traditions through fishing practices and participate in regional festivals during the annual Croatian Carnival period.

The village sits at the start of several walking trails that wind through forests and climb to viewpoints overlooking the channel and nearby mountains. It is best explored on foot, allowing time to discover the beaches and local pathways at your own pace.

The location along the Vinodol Riviera receives around 2500 hours of sunshine yearly, an unusually high amount for this stretch of coast. This exceptional sun exposure makes it a rare spot for extended outdoor activities even beyond peak summer months.
