Vrebac

Vrebac is a small rural settlement in Lika-Senj County that spreads across rolling terrain. Forests cover most of the surrounding landscape, creating a natural setting typical of this highland region.

This settlement developed from traditional rural patterns in the region and has maintained its original layout across the centuries. The structure reflects how communities historically organized themselves in this part of Croatia.

The residents of Vrebac preserve local customs through seasonal festivals and maintain strong connections within their small community of 46 inhabitants.

The settlement sits in a forested area east of Gospić where the ground can be uneven and sometimes marshy. Visitors should wear sturdy footwear and expect rural paths that may not always be clearly marked.

The Jadova River originates from a spring in the southwestern part of the settlement and creates a small body of water in the area. This water source shapes the local landscape in ways visitors might easily miss while passing through.
