Vaganski Vrh

Vaganski Vrh is a mountain summit within the Velebit range rising to 1,757 meters. Multiple marked trails lead through varied vegetation zones and rocky terrain.

This mountain served as a natural boundary and strategic vantage point for ancient peoples in the Dalmatian region. Its position made it a key landmark for controlling and observing the surrounding lands.

Local communities maintain traditional hiking events and seasonal gatherings at Monte Drago, connecting residents with their mountain heritage through organized activities.

The climb is easiest between April and October when weather conditions are most favorable. Multiple marked starting points offer different route options for various skill levels.

From the summit you can see both the continental interior and the Adriatic islands at the same time, a rare view in this region. This overlapping perspective makes it stand out as an exceptional viewing point.
