Feštetić Castle, 16th-century château in Pribislavec, Croatia
Feštetić Castle is a 16th-century château in Pribislavec that underwent significant neogothic transformation in the 19th century. The structure displays a prominent southeastern tower, ornamental window surrounds, and decorative bay windows across its facade.
The castle was built in the 16th century and initially belonged to the Zrinski family until the late 17th century. The Feštetić family then acquired the property in 1791 and remained its owners until 1923.
Count György Festetics transformed the castle's architecture in 1870, incorporating neogothic elements that reflect the period's architectural preferences in Croatia.
The castle now serves as a primary school located on Kaštelska ulica, making it an active institutional building within the community. Access may be limited as the building remains in daily use for educational purposes.
The structure features a combination of preserved 16th-century foundations with 19th-century neogothic modifications, including garlands and distinct architectural details.
