Bitoraj, mountain in Gorski Kotar, Croatia

Bitoraj is a forested mountain in eastern Gorski Kotar, without a single sharp summit; instead it has an elongated karst ridge called Piršova Kosa running northwest to southeast. Its highest point, Burni Bitoraj, reaches 1,386 m and is a group of rocks rising above the tree cover. The mountain is separated from Viševica to the south-southeast by the Javorje saddle at 1,200 m.

Bitoraj lies in the eastern part of Gorski Kotar, and its name Burni Bitoraj ("Stormy Bitoraj") comes from the strong bura wind that sweeps the summit ridge.
