Cava Beach

Cava Beach lies on the western side of Babin Kuk peninsula, featuring a pebbly shoreline and clear water suitable for swimming. The setting includes a modern beach club facility at one end and views across the water toward nearby islands in the Adriatic.

This beach emerged during Dubrovnik's tourism growth starting in the late 1900s as the waterfront along Babin Kuk was developed. It gained Blue Flag certification, marking its meeting of environmental and safety standards set by European monitoring organizations.

This shore reflects how coastal life in Dubrovnik blends everyday swimming and sunbathing with social gathering around the beach club. Local residents share the space alongside visitors, creating a naturally mixed atmosphere where the rhythm follows the seasons and daily tides.

The beach is accessible by bus number 6 from the Old Town center, with the main stop at Hotel Valamar President near the top of the peninsula. From there, a marked coastal path leads down to the water in just a few minutes on foot.

The beach naturally divides into two distinct areas: a quieter side for relaxation and a livelier section with the beach club that transforms in the evening. Many visitors discover this split only when exploring, finding they can choose their preferred mood.
