Sustjepan

Sustjepan is a coastal settlement near Dubrovnik that stretches along the Adriatic Sea. The village features Mediterranean-style houses scattered along the waterfront, creating a relaxed seaside environment.

The settlement developed close to ancient Epidaurum, where refugees from that city established the foundations for Dubrovnik in the 7th century. This early maritime connection shaped the region's development.

Residents of Sustjepan participate in the annual Saint Blaise celebrations, a tradition that connects all communities in the Dubrovnik region.

The settlement is connected to central Dubrovnik by regular bus services, making it easy to visit from the nearby city. Walking along the waterfront is best done in the morning or late afternoon when the sun is less intense.

The community of 301 residents maintains a population density of 220 people per square kilometer while preserving its distinct coastal character.
