Jászberény

Jászberény sits where the Zagyva and Tarna rivers meet, surrounded by farmland and flat terrain at 87 meters in elevation. The town has a traditional layout with a central market square, residential neighborhoods, and industrial areas that developed over time.

The region has been inhabited since prehistoric times, with archaeological evidence pointing to settlements from around 16,500 years ago. Later, Celtic peoples established themselves here, leaving behind burial sites from the 4th and 3rd centuries BC.
