Bazita Peak TV Tower, Television tower in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary.

Bazita Peak TV Tower is a television tower in Zalaegerszeg that rises 100 meters and features an observation deck at 60 meters height. The structure is crowned by a 13-meter antenna and provides views over the surrounding landscape.

Construction of the tower began in 1970 and it was handed over on 17 August 1973, in the presence of Horn Dezső, deputy minister of transport and postal affairs. The contractor was ZÁÉV, while the shaft formwork was done by specialists of the 31st State Construction Enterprise. In 1988, after the Vasvár transmitter was completed, the tower was disconnected from the national television backbone network and has since broadcast only the Zalaegerszeg city channel.

The tower stands as a representation of technological advancement in Hungarian broadcasting, serving the community of Zalaegerszeg with television and radio signals.

An elevator takes visitors to the observation deck, where a café offers views of the surrounding landscape. The deck provides a good vantage point to orient yourself over the city and its surroundings.

During construction on 18 September 1970, a winch cable snapped while the antenna support was being assembled; the steel structure fell into the tower shaft, killing two workers. A Hungarian People's Army helicopter rescued the workers stranded on top.
