Masjid Awal Fath Al-Mubin stands as a two-story structure with ceramic tiles covering its walls and floors, decorated with calligraphic inscriptions at its entrance. The building measures approximately 26 by 26 meters and accommodates prayer spaces for its congregation.

The mosque was built in 1770 as the first mosque in Manado, beginning as a simple wooden structure. Over time it was expanded and reconstructed to reach its present form and size.

The mosque functions as a community gathering place where residents come for daily prayers and special religious occasions. It holds particular meaning as the oldest Islamic institution in the city and continues to anchor the spiritual life of its congregation.

The mosque is located in the Tuminting district along Jalan Sultan Hasanuddin with easy access to public transportation and commercial areas. Visitors should plan their visit around prayer times, which follow the Islamic calendar.

The foundation of the mosque uses coral stones sourced from the nearby coast, demonstrating how builders adapted to available local materials. This choice of coral stone provided a practical building solution suited to the coastal environment.
