Seán O'Casey Bridge, Cable-stayed footbridge in Dublin, Ireland

The steel bridge spans 97 meters across the River Liffey, connecting City Quay to North Wall Quay and the International Financial Services Centre.

The Dublin Docklands Development Authority commissioned the bridge in 2002 during a period of urban renewal, leading to its completion in July 2005.

The bridge bears the name of Seán O'Casey, a celebrated playwright and Irish Citizen Army member who lived in the North Wall district.

The structure features two 44-meter arms that swing apart through remote control operation, allowing boats to pass through the River Liffey.

The bridge operation halted for four years when authorities misplaced the remote control device during an office relocation, requiring a new control system.
